Henk den Haan, the man whose tireless research and persistence has brought the story of the Organ Attics to life, received the Erasmus pin from Mayor Aboutaleb on 13 February 2019. It is an award that was established in 1979 by the municipality of Rotterdam. The pin is named after the humanist Desiderius Erasmus (1466-1536) and is awarded to people who have contributed to Rotterdam’s society for a long time in social, cultural, economic or sports fields.
